So I do exist..

No I haven`t gone all existential or anything hippy. Just haven`t posted in bloody well ages. Crap eh...
So potted High [low] lights of the period since my last blog. Well. My laptop died... Tears abounded. But I don`t have an internet connection at the mo` anyway...
Had a nice enough summer though, it was pretty warm so lots of time was spent in the garden or out and about enjoying the sun and having a giggle.#
Finally managed to right my errant tummy, If you`ll remember I was ill with viral gastric problems for 3 months. I lost two stone [good! :)] and felt like death for some time after. Now much better but am now intolerant of gluten which ruins the diet somewhat. But hey, it`s not that bad really. And although I have put some weight back on now, on the whole I am still much slimmer and more gorgeous than I was. Actually needed to put some weight back, was looking drawn and skeletal at one point!! Yuck.
Had a couple of breaks, once to Glasgow - lovely for varying reasons and a super 6 days in beautiful Budapest in late October. That place always cheers me up!! :)
So that leaves me with now...
Well Xmas looms. Personally I am bit of a humbug when it comes to it. Having very little family means I tend to take little part in it all, it is after all very much a family time. So I will hole myself up in the flat, have some nice food, drink and whatever and be merry with lots of movies. Let`s face it - xmas telly is always crap on the whole.

Music I have been listening to -

  • Editors [I know it`s old ish now, but still so bloody good!]
  • Jarvis Cocker solo - Surprised by how good it actually is, wasn`t expecting too much. [And anyone with a song called `C***s Are Still Running The World` has my vote anyway!!
  • Broken Social Scene - I have fallen in love with them, unbelievable live too!
  • Some lovely old Kinks I found... London Loves...

Booooks -

  • The Francis Wheen bio of Tom Driberg is a brilliant and highly recommended read!

Anyhoo pop pickers [Quick homage to Fluff - bless `im]
